Show Picker Club is a private, invitation-only TV-show tracker for a small group of friends and family. We use SMS for two things: sending login verification codes, and notifying you when another member recommends or shares a show with you.
SMS is optional. When you join Show Picker Club, you may provide a mobile number to receive login codes and recommendation alerts by text. Members who don't provide a number receive their login code from the group operator directly, so using the service does not require consenting to SMS. The consent language presented at signup reads:
Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of using Show Picker Club, and there is nothing for sale on the service.
Message frequency varies and depends on your own activity and how often others recommend shows to you. Typically a handful of messages per month at most.
Show Picker Club does not charge for messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing. Phone numbers are used only to operate the app's login and notification features. See the full Privacy Policy.
